As part of scaling up, the Com DEALL vision is to set up as many units in as far a geographical spread as there is a need for. The Trust is open to affiliations with Individuals, Organizations, Hospitals, Schools, N.G.Os, and Govt. bodies desiring to set up a unit.
Affiliate with us
- Organizations /individuals wanting to set up a Com DEALL unit are required to enter a memorandum of understanding (M.O.U.) with the Trust.
- They are required to form a core team (that includes an OT, an SLP, a Sp. educator and a Co-ordinator), and attend a mandatory training program.
- The team will be trained in conducting assessments using the Com DEALL protocols and in using the manuals to plan & provide intervention.
- Post this training, the team is monitored and supported by the Com DEALL monitoring team for a year or two.
- After fulfilling all of the Com DEALL Star Rating System criteria, the unit is provided with an affiliation certificate.
- This certification is required to be renewed every three years.

During the last two decades, the program was scaled up to 40 units. As of March 2024, we have 20 units that are affiliated with Com DEALL Trust, which provides various assessments and intervention services within the Com DEALL Model.

Why Com DEALL is looking for affiliates?
The Com DEALL Trust has always been committed to expanding and replicating its model. However, due to the need for highly specialized professional input and a lack of adequately trained manpower in India, we faced challenges in doing so. Significant growth became possible only after documenting our procedures, specifically the assessment and intervention processes. Support from the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and the Navajbai Ratan Tata Trust enabled us to document these processes effectively. Following this documentation in 2009, the Com DEALL Trust was poised for significant expansion.
Currently, we are open to establishing more DEALL units upon request. Organizations or individuals interested in setting up units can integrate them into larger institutions, clinics, schools, or preschools, both in India and abroad.
Our goal is to make the Communication DEALL program a viable model that can be replicated universally. With proper training and adequate monitoring, we aspire for the program to serve the growing number of children with communication disorders. Therefore, we welcome partnerships for setting up new units, producing additional materials, and training staff.
The Affiliation Process
An organization or individual can affiliate with us, after signing an agreement. In due course, they may be able to function as ‘Independent Affiliates’ of the Com DEALL Family.
The Com DEALL Trust, Bangalore assists and monitors the unit (which is termed as being ‘under training’) for a period of 1- 2 years. The strength of the program, which is documentation as well as other requirements of quality maintenance are encouraged and enforced at the unit under training. After a minimum duration of a year, of maintaining the same, the unit may be certified and can thereafter function independent of us.
Between 2012 and 2017 the NRTT, Mumbai is supporting a few deserving and registered NGOs across the country to establish Com DEALL Units, post scrutiny. If you are a professional / an organization with interest in establishing affiiations with Com DEALL, click here to message us.
C.B. Cariapa Memorial Award
(a) a Research Paper published in indexed journals based on or relevant to the goals of the Trust
or
(b) for a completed CommunicAid.
Staff members will nominate themselves for the award and with due diligence by the Trust, an award winner will be decided upon each year.
The winner will be rewarded with a beautiful engraved memento and cash prize of 5000 INR.
The award, for its first year was presented for – The Com DEALL Visual kit, to staff from the Head Office – Ms Ruth Cherian, Ms Tanushree Saxena Chandhok and Ms Lekshmipriya.
